｜Background｜ Taipei Male Choir was formerly known as Cheng-Gong High School Alumni Chorus. In the end of 1980s, graduated members from Cheng-Gong High School Chorus gathered together under the calling of respected music teacher, Mr. Zhang, Wei-Min, who expected everyone to sing in concord, just as the boat trackers on the upper stream of Yangtze River （拉縴人） would work together. In 1999 after registered as “Taipei Male Choir” in the previous year, the first concert of Taipei Male Choir, under the direction of Mr. Tang, Tien-Ming, was a certain success with respective reputations. Afterwards, with numerous prestigious awards given to Taipei Male Choir, Mr. Nieh, Yen-Hsiang was appointed as Artistic Director. In 2015, TMC Culture and Arts Foundation (TMCCAF) was founded, integrating seven groups including Taipei Male Choir, Taipei Youth Choir, TMC Children’s Choir, Taipei Elegant Song Choir, Taipei Male Singers...
